Since we arrived in Australia, most people (especially Bob) have been telling us we have to go to Fremantle and look around, so this weekend Luke's co-worker Matt and his fiancee(the ones we went to the fair with) invited us to go with them while they shopped at the markets.
The town is full of old buildings with lots of history and little restaurants and pubs everywhere! It reminded me a lot of downtown McKinney. First we ate breakfast at Dome. Dome is probably one of the most popular places in WA at least in the Perth area. It's very similar to Starbucks, about as common as Starbucks but it is also a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's also surprisingly reasonably priced :) We then head to the markets and did a little souvenir shopping !! It's basically set up like a flea market, little shops in a very crowded area. After shopping we walked around, checked out the harbor and beach and then grabbed a late lunch at a place called Little Creatures. The place was incredibly crowed and huge but the food was good and worth the wait. They had the most delicious french fries and dipping sauce lol
Found these pics of the restaurant on google image :)
I hope we get to go back before we leave, there were lots of places we didn't get to see. One of the places I would like to visit is their prison !! They give tours and you can even take them at night (not that I am brave enough to do that) ! There were also all kinds of restaurants I would like to try. The whole town has a hippie vibe which I also enjoy :)
