February 9th: Lucy waved bye bye, it was so cute, I wish I could have caught it on video. She will also wave hi, I have a feeling hi might be her next word !
February 11th: (my lovely 28th birthday) Lucy said her first words, and the magic words were... DADA : ) Figures right?! Dada on my birthday lol It was super sweet and I love to hear her little voice. Still no mama but I'm hoping to hear it soon !
February 13th: SHE CRAWLED !! I knew it was only a matter of time before she took off and boy is she always on the move! She's pretty quick too LOL We are constantly having to keep her off Truck and Sadie, she is so fascinated by them and wants to pull, tug, and crawl all over them. Luckily they are both great sports about it ! She has also discovered the kitchen with has Truck's water bowl, the water bowl is her favorite, she tries to sneak off to splash in it every chance she can get... Yuck!! :/
We also started her on cereal in Feb. She was not a fan of cereal so we tried oatmeal instead and had much better luck. Since then we have introduced her all kinds of fruits and veggies. Surprisingly she loves green beans but I think her favorite so far has to be sweet potatoes followed closely by apples! I'm hoping she will eat much better than her mommy and daddy LOL Today I attempted to mix peaches in her oatmeal... she gagged... oops, I don't think I will attempt to mix things anymore !
The other day I gave her a sippy cup with some apple juice but she isn't interested, she will drink juice from a bottle but just wants to play with the cup !!
Since Lucy has been crawling, she has also started to pull her self up on anything and everything she can get her hands on ! Let the baby proofing begin ! My mom sent me a video of her crawling up her stairs and I witnessed it first hand today... it seriously blows my mind how much she is learning, changing, and growing! She can also hold on to the couch and cruise! I'm pretty sure this kid will be walking by 9 months! We also had to lower her crib to the lowest setting, she is so tall!
About a week ago she started to blow bubbles, it is the funniest thing! I will try to upload a video on Instagram soon. I love the look she gets on her face, she has to concentrate so hard and her little face will turn so red !!
