Home Sweet Home

I know I am way late on updating this thing but as most of you know we made it home for Thanksgiving :) We decided not to tell anyone and surprise our families, I wish I had recorded some of the reactions LOL

We left Perth on November 20 at 540 am and the flight to Sydney was about 5 hours... We safely arrived to Sydney at 130pm (due to time zone changes) I wish we could have spent some time in Sydney but sadly we couldn't :/  Fortunately while flying in we were able to see the famous bridge and Sydney Opera house :)  From Sydney we had a direct flight to Dallas which means we were on a plane for about 15 to 17 hours straight... eeek. Flight left at 340pm.  Neither one of us could sleep which made time drag by even more. I watched Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider Man, several episodes of Modern Family, started the first season of Downton Abby and who knows what else LOL Finally we arrived in Dallas :) Due to time zone changes we arrived on Nov 20th at 130 pm, so it's like we got to go back in time ;)  

Luke's company had a car pick us up and take us to our new apartment! As exhausted as we were, I still had to sign lease papers and do all that fun stuff. To our surprise, when we walked in our apartment  all of our stuff had already been taken out of storage and unloaded inside :) We were sooo thankful we didn't have to mess with any of that!! Talk about good timing considering no one knew we were coming home early!! Luke's buddy Shane came to get Luke to take him to get his car and then treated us to some Chili's (Luke's favorite) .  I remember sitting in restaurant looking around and everything moving in slow motion... I don't think I have ever been so tired before in my life!! We then drove to my moms and surprised her and my step dad.  I ended up having to call the house and tell her we were there because I couldn't get them to answer the door LOL We hid out for the next 2 days and then drove to my dad's on Thanksgiving! Katie was so sweet and gave me a huge hug and told me she missed me so much, I couldn't help but get teary eyed :)  Then we went to my Granny's and surprised the rest of my family :) My granny said she knew because she noticed my absence on facebook LOL That evening we drove out to Farmersville to see Luke's sister, mom and brother.  I think CC and Marcie had the best reaction... I've never heard someone scream so loud before in my life LOL I wish I had gotten it on camera !!
