Happy People
A few postings ago, I had mentioned my neighbor telling me about a new Tex-Mex restaurant opening up downtown. While we were about and about on Saturday we thought we would go on a hunt and try and find it... well we did... The name of the place is Mad Mex and it is GOOD!! If Free Birds and Chipotle got married and had a baby, Mad Mex would be it! The set up is the same as both and your options are pretty much the same. I had a bowl while Luke had a burrito and we were the happiest people in Perth :) On Sunday, we went back LOL We both got the same thing again but we thought we would try the chips and queso. The queso was good but the chips tasted weird... can't have it all I suppose ! They put the chips in a bowl and then spooned the queso over them nacho style, not exactly what we were expecting either ha ha. I already can't wait to go back, maybe next time I will try the quesadillas or tacos... my mouth is watering as we speak :D It's weird how something like familiar food can lift your spirits and make you a little less homesick!
Downtown Perth
Downtown Perth is pretty awesome, on Saturday we went just to walk around and do some shopping. There are tons of retail stores and restaurants ! We spent about 4 hours there and didn't even come close to seeing all that was there, we didn't even make it all they way down the main strip Hay Street. I'm sure we would have stayed longer but all the stores close at 5 !

On our way home we came across a pretty park... can't remember the name lol

Return to Caversham
Not sure if anyone remembers but, the first time we went to Caversham Wildlife Park, I fell in love with the goats :) I have been wanting to go back to visit and since Mike (Luke's co-worker who also came to Australia) hasn't been, we decided it was a good excuse to visit ! I'm still amazed at how laid back all the kangaroos are especially with all the little kids running around but I guess I would be too if all I did was get feed 24/7 and loved on . Pretty positive the majority of them are in a food coma ! Unfortunately, the goat farm was closed for the day :( I'm assuming by all the little goat babies we saw that is why... guess we get to go back ;)

Art Exhibit
On Saturday, the 15th, Luke and I went to the Picasso to Warhol Exhibit at the Perth Cultural City Center and I have been looking forward to this since we arrived ! I'm not an art expert or anything but, in college, I took a couple of art history classes and enjoyed them and was eager to see how many of the 14 artists on display I recognized . To my surprise I knew who the majority of them were and even recognized a lot of their work :) When you walk in, one of the first things you see is a Picasso, it made me so excited and almost nervous lol I felt like a total nerd but it was really cool to see artwork that is so well known and apart of history !!
