Baby Projects!!

Most of you who know me, know there is not a crafty bone in my body ! You would think that with all the crafty-ness in my family I would have absorbed some of it but nope, not a stinkin ounce LOL

I've always wanted to be a scrap booker, one of best friends does it and her books are always so cute and it always inspires me to do it but it never happens... It also seems time consuming and really expensive which is definitely not for me however,  Since Lucy has come along, I really wanted to do something cool with the millions of pictures I already have of her but obvisouly I was wanting it to be quick, easy, and cheap.   After racking my brain, I gave up and bought a cute photo album and called it day. Well the other day at Target (my home away from home) I came across an album that was perfect for me!! When I saw it, it was like hearing the angels sing from Heaven!! It's called We R Memory Keepers and it's basically scrap booking for dummies and lazy ones like myself... Take a look!

All I have to do is buy my adorable, already designed note cards, write on them, pop them in the sleeve and add my photos!!! I can't wait to get started!!!

Another project I finally started and finished last night was my Pregnancy Journal !! Thank goodness for this blog otherwise I would have forgot a lot !!

My collection of Lucy photos :)

And another project I started was Lucy's baby book !

Now all  I need to order are my honeymoon pictures, Australia pictures and Bali pictures... yikes !!!

The Challenge !

So the other day on Facebook, WFAA channel 8 posted a story called the 52 week challenge and how it could save you $1,378... obviously this intrigued me so I read it and guess what, Luke and I decided to give it a try :) Basically all you're doing is increasing the amount of money you put in savings ( or a cute jar in our case) each week for a year.  Week 1 you put in $1, week 2 you put in $2 , week 3 is $3... catching on? Easy right!! I'm really excited about this because we already put money into savings but I was REALLY wanting to set aside specifically for Lucy's future! If we continue to do this for at least 18 years, we will have set aside $24,804... not too shabby :) Oh and we have decided to do it backwards so it gets easier not more difficult...sometimes I'm smart ;)

Here is a handy chart...

5 months!

On New Year's Day, Lucy turned 5 months!  It's so strange to think she will be turning 1 this year.  I know we have a ways to go but time is flying.

I'm not sure what day she starting sitting up but she's doing it...kind of lol She has to have help getting up right but once she is she can stay up and has pretty awesome balance ! I thought she wouldn't crawl for a long time but today while my sister was over, we put her on her tummy and she got her knees up !! She can kind of scoot so crawling might be in our near future!!

She loves her jumper and bounces around like a crazy woman, I'm so glad we decided to get her one! The baby Einstein jumper is awesome! She loves standing in it and being able to turn in circles grabbing all the objects.

Lucy has been drooling and chewing on things for a couple of months now but I'm still not sure if she is teething.  Sometimes I think I see some white coming thru on her gums and sometimes I don't lol It's hard to tell but if I rub my finger on her gums, I can't feel anything.

In the next week or two we are going to introduce her to cereal ! I'm so excited, I think she is going to love it! I also decided today, I am going to attempt to make her food! This should be a fun project.. ha  :) The response on Facebook was great and it sounds pretty simple so I'm going to go for it!

Date Night !! <3

Wearing one of my night gowns :)

Bath time is ten times better when sitting up! Yes her diaper is on because when I sit her down in the water she immediately tinkles and then I take it off lol
