5 months ! Whoot Whoot !

Well we reached the 5 month mark a few days ago and we only have a couple weeks left !! I'm so ready to get home and spend time with everyone, get our animals back, and get our apartment out of storage and decorated :) I know I will miss the beach so much but it will make it that much sweeter to go on vacation to tropical places... that is when we are ready to travel again LOL I'm definitely soaking up all the beach time I can get .

One of the downfalls I find myself stressing about is finding and getting a big girl J.O.B, I have been so spoiled over the past few months ! I know it will be nice to get out of the house and feel like I am contributing to our household again, it will just take a lot of time to re-adjust ! The other thing I am worried about is falling back into the horrible habit of eating out all of the time.  We rarely eat fast food and go to restaurants because of the price and the lack of options.  I can tell a huge difference in my energy levels and mood and I would like to keep it this way.  I also think one of the reasons I feel so much better is because of my workout routine and the food we eat at the house has a lot less preservatives, hormones, and is gluten free.

Due to the fact we are SO CLOSE to being home, I am not going to post pics of our latest adventure ! I've blogged and posted so many pictures, I want to have something to show and talk about !! SEE you all soon :D :D :D

A wise bunny once said...

I think this election has brought out the worst in some people.  I am saddened by all the nasty and hateful posts I've read on Facebook.

 I think we all could use a lesson from the wise bunny Thumper....

And how about we put a little more faith and trust in GOD after all  He is the man with the plan :)

30 days of Thankfulness

Here are my 30 days of thankfulness ! Yes I cheated and did it all in one day :)


1. I'm thankful God gave up his only son to save us from our sins!
2. I'm thankful for our church Chase Oaks and that they post their sermons online so people like me, far away, can still follow along.
3. I'm thankful for the power of prayer :)
4. I'm thankful for my Bible, it gives little side notes and lessons to help me better understand what I am reading!
5. I'm thankful for my husband. He's my best friend and I'd be lost without him.  He loves me unconditionally and puts up with quite a bit <3
6. I'm thankful for my incredible family.  I'm glad we all live so close and that I am able to see the as often as I do.
7. I'm thankful for my sisters! There is no bond like a sista bond haha
8. I'm thankful to have the most amazing group of friends a gal could ask for!
9. I'm thankful for Facebook, Skype, and phones! I wouldn't have made this long without seeing my friends and family if theses things did not exist.
10. I'm thankful for books! I definitely would have lost my mind here in this apartment if I hadn't had something to read lol
11. I'm thankful my husband works for a great company who sent us to Australia and let us experience this amazing adventure!
12. I'm thankful Luke loves and enjoys his job and for the fact he has a job .  We wouldn't be able to live the way we live and have the things we we do, if it weren't for him.
13. I'm thankful for my health and my families health! We are very fortunate !
14. I'm thankful to live in American and to have the freedom that we have .
15. I'm thankful for the people who have fought for our country and for those who are still fighting for our country. I couldn't do what you do .
16. I'm thankful we live in Texas and are surrounded by Tex-mex restaurants !! Yum yum yum
17. I'm thankful to have a home with a bed, hot running water, stocked with whatever we need and then some.
18. I'm thankful for my education .
19. I'm thankful to have a car and to be able to afford gas!
20. I'm thankful I have been able to go to the beach as often as I have the last few months.  The ocean is one of the most peaceful places and most beautiful places on Earth.
21. I'm thankful I have been able to see as much of the world as I have.  It is truly an amazing place.
22. I'm thankful for my fur children, even though they drive me nuts, they continue to love us no matter what and make great snuggle buddies.
23. I'm thankful movies and television.  It's nice to temporally escape every now and then.
24. I'm thankful for tampons with applicators ;)
25. I'm thankful for bug spray!!!
26. I'm thankful to be in a situation where I am able to help others .
27. I'm thankful for the holidays, they make me happy and love being able to spend time with my families.
28. I'm thankful for Britney Spears, if  it wasn't for her music it would be that much more difficult to make it through a work out !
29. I'm thankful for all my life experiences good and bad and the ability to learn and grow from them. They've made me who I am today
30. I'm thankful I have this much to be thankful for.

Burns Beach and the Aquarium !

On Saturday we visited Burns beach and of course it was beautiful ! It was a lovely 90 degrees that day and I enjoyed every minute of it.  Burns was relatively quiet and small, decent waves, but the flies were so annoying! They were very persistent and liked to land right between your eyes.  I thought maybe it was just being aggravated by them but I started watching everyone else and they were having the same problem as well!

On Sunday we went to the Perth aquarium called Aqwa, it was really small and kind of lame LOL The only really cool part was when we went into the shark area, through a tunnel, and they were swimming over our heads and you could look up and see all their teeth !! 

Pumpkins!!

Last week I went on a mission to find some pumpkins and had great success!!  It wasn't as difficult finding them as I thought it would be, I found them on my first stop at Woolworths (grocery store in the mall) . I thought I was getting a great deal on them but instead of 3.45 a pumpkin it was 3.45 a kilo lol And to my surprise they had a pumpkin carving set conveniently next to them.  No stencils but thanks to the lovely internet we were able to find some free ones and print them off !! The cashier said she thinks this is the first year they have sold pumpkins and seemed really excited about us carving them lol

Meet Como

Thought I would take some pics of Como, the little suburb of Perth we live in .  Not sure the population  but it has a small town vibe to it and I love that there are boutiques, a grocery store, little restaurants, a movie theater all within walking distance from our apartment! We are only 15 minutes from downtown Perth which has a completely different vibe to it, 20 to 30 minutes from gorgeous beaches and not even a mile down the road from the Swan River and parks! Most of the pictures I took are things I see every day on my walking trail :)
